CyberSecure Together: Intergenerational Cybersecurity Program

This is a FREE, hands-on, 5-week cyber security program designed for Black youth (ages 12–18) and seniors (55+). Whether you’re just learning to navigate the digital world or you are already online every day, this intergenerational experience will teach you how to stay safe and smart online.

Together We Can, Youth Mentorship – Become a Mentor

An opportunity for adults, ages 25 and older, to give back to the community by providing Black, African, and Caribbean children and youth culturally relevant mentorship.

Employment

Better Jobs Ontario

This program supports individuals who have been laid off and are struggling to find employment through training and financial support.

Integrated Employment Services (IES)

This program is part of Ontario’s new model for delivering employment services. It brings together job seekers, employers, and community services to better meet your needs—especially if you’re facing barriers to employment.

Persons with Disabilities Employment Support Program

This program is for individuals 18 years or older who have a disability, to help them find or maintain employment, explore self-employment, or make career advancements through work experience, coaching and more.

Self-Directed Job Search

This program allows registered clients (ages 15 and older), to independently search for a job in our employment centre’s resource u0026 information area, during our business hours. Clients can look for work on their own with the benefit of: internet access, career planning tools, tip sheets on job search strategies, networking, résumés, cover letters, interview practice, and a helpful job search package.

Mental Health & Wellness

Individual, Couples, and Family Counselling

Tropicana’s counselling service provides a safe and confidential space to work on life’s challenges. We aid our clients in identifying aspects of their lives in need of change or that require ways in which to cope.

START for Life Skills Training

A life skills development program for individuals aged 18+, that helps enhance the social skills necessary for good interpersonal communication, anger control, and decision-making. The program includes activities such as reflective discussions, role modeling, and demonstrations.

Together We Can, Youth Mentorship – become a mentor

Transitional Housing and Support

Free transitional housing support for abused women, ages 16+, and their dependents.

Violence Against Women Counselling

A free and confidential service available to abused women and their children.

Recreation

Steelpan

Our steelpan lessons are for anyone 9-years old to 65+, who wishes to learn to play the instrument. Classes are available for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners from September to December, January to March, and March to May every year.
